Tanya Muñiz is the Chief Financial Officer for Valley of the Sun United Way. Her numerous accolades include being named one of Arizona’s 40 Hispanic Leaders Under 40 of 2011; Financial Executive International Non-Profit Chief Financial Officer of the Year in Arizona 2013, and one of Phoenix Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 in 2014. Phoenix Business Journal has also recognized her as one of Phoenix’s Outstanding CFOs and Rising Star. Tanya is an alumnus of Valle del Sol’s Hispanic Leadership Institute and continues to be active with the program. She serves on United Way Worldwide’s Financial Issues Committee and its Diversity and Inclusion Council leading efforts to leverage the diversity of Latinos to create more inclusive communities. Tanya is Board Treasurer for the Phoenix Community Tool Bank and she serves on the Board and Finance Committee for Arizona Grantmakers Forum. She is also a mentor for New Pathways for Youth.
