AWARDS CATEGORIES & DESCRIPTIONS 

  • PREMIO SALÓN DE LA FAMA - Awarded to a leader of influence for their years of service to our community. **Past Profiles honoree ONLY
  • PREMIO LIDERAZGO COMUNITARIO - Awarded to someone who has demonstrated exemplary and meaningful leadership in our community.
  • PREMIO HUMANITARIO - Awarded to someone who has dedicated their leadership and influence to benefit a cause, organization, or program.
  • PREMIO A LA JUVENTUD - Awarded to an exceptionally young leader in our community – 29 years old & under.
  • MISIÓN DE SALUD - Awarded to someone who has significant service or contributions within the fields of healthcare or science and technology.
  • PREMIO ESPÍRITU Y CULTURA - Awarded to someone who has significant contributions within the fields of appropriate arts or cultural fields.
  • PREMIO CORAZÓN - Awarded to a corporation or non-profit that has made significant positive impacts for Arizona’s Latino community.
  • PREMIO ORGULLO - Awarded to a special person who demonstrates achievement or a track record of leadership that is deserving of a recognition.

Eligibility and Criteria in which all awards will be made:

  1. Nominees must be of Hispanic descent or have significantly championed Latino issues.
  2. SUSTAINED SERVICE given over a period of years, not necessarily in one post or organization.
  3. SIGNIFICANT TIME devoted to activities, services or issues beyond work or family responsibilities.
  4. CHALLENGES met by the nominee that were unusual, i.e., limited human and financial resources, public perceptions of the issue or significant opposition.
  5. MOTIVATION given to others through personal commitment and/or exemplary performance.
  6. CREATIVITY in devising new and better ways of performing volunteer assignments or meeting the needs of community; and
  7. LEADERSHIP AND BETTERMENT OF THE COMMUNITY through undertakings that have had a wide impact on many people.
  8. Nominations must be received by: 11:59 p.m. on Monday, March 24th.
  9. Nominee, if selected, must be present to accept an award at event: Saturday, September 6, 2025.

Elected officials, board members, employees of Valle del Sol, as well as family members, are not eligible. Must reside within the state of Arizona to be nominated.
