All of her life, Evelyn Casuga has been driven to strive for things that bring people and communities together. Cesar Chavez’s work, in California, played out while she was laboring in the fruit packing houses. Her parents instilled a hard-charging work ethic in her that still compels her to put in long days and to extend a helping hand to any organization needing assistance. Evelyn has and/or is now serving as a member of the Boards of Directors for Access Arizona, Casa Grande Elementary School Employee Benefits Trust, Central Arizona College Foundation member and past chair, Community Advisory Board for Banner Casa Grande Regional Medical Center and Development Chair for Arizona Town Hall. Evelyn made funding for and success of the Hispanic Leadership Institute-Pinal a front burner issue eleven years ago in helping to build the next generation of Latino and diverse leaders for Pinal County.
