Carlos Contreras is the U.S education manager at Intel Corporation. After working for 10 years in finance at Intel Corporation, he moved to Intel’s Corporate Affairs as a regional education manager. In this capacity, Contreras worked hands-on with others to create and implement programs that improved access to math, science, and technology education. Carlos oversees Intel’s education programs in the United States, which include grants to encourage excellence in math, science, and engineering in K–12 as well as higher education and use of technology in the classroom. He has a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from the University of Arizona and a master’s in business from Thunderbird, the American Graduate School of International Management. Carlos currently serves on the board of Arizona Forward and Arizona Business and Education Coalition. Every day, Carlos works toward the goal of making America’s youth STEM-strong by offering educational opportunities.
