Bio
David Solano is an educator, coach, and community leader who has spent nearly three decades investing in the young people and families of Maryvale. As President of Solano's No Limit Hoops, David provides free basketball programming for youth ages 13 to 20, creating a welcoming space where young people from across the West Valley can come together, build relationships, and develop a sense of community.
For the past nine years, David has organized free basketball nights through his King of the Court program, regularly welcoming dozens of young people and, on some evenings, more than 80 participants. After a full day teaching fourth grade, he dedicates his evenings to creating opportunities for youth to compete, connect, and grow. He has organized dozens of basketball nights each year and has remained committed to showing up for his community, even when the work is demanding. For David, the program is about far more than basketball -- it is about building a community where young people feel welcomed, supported, and valued.
David's commitment to Maryvale extends more than 27 years through his work as an educator and more than 20 years coaching middle school basketball in the community. His dedication has earned him recognition as the Phoenix Suns Community Coach of the Year and the NCAA Final Four Community Legends and Legacy Award, both in 2024. Through education, athletics, and mentorship, David continues to be a pillar of the Maryvale community, demonstrating the lasting impact of showing up for young people year after year.
