    • Award categories include the Raúl Yzaguirre Community Leadership Award, Exemplary Leadership Award, Latino Excellence in Health & Sciences, Latino Excellence in Technology & Innovation, and Special Recognition awards.
    • After being nominated by peers, each nominee is reviewed based on criteria including sustained service, commitment, challenges overcome, motivation, creativity, leadership abilities, and overall betterment of the community. These criteria represent the values of Valle del Sol.
  • Nominations

    • You can nominate an exemplary individual in the Latino community through the nomination form on the Nominations page when nominations are open.
    • Any exceptional individual in the Latino community who demonstrates outstanding leadership, sustained community service, and commitment to strengthening Arizona communities can be nominated.
    • Nomination periods vary by year. Check the website for current nomination status and deadlines.
    • Strong nominations highlight the nominee's sustained service to the community, leadership qualities, creativity in addressing challenges, motivation to create positive change, and specific examples of how they have bettered the community.
  • The Event

    • Profiles of Success is Valle del Sol Community Health's premier fundraising event and Hispanic Leadership Awards Dinner. The celebration recognizes champions of Latino leadership and brings together community leaders, advocates, and community servants who strengthen Arizona's communities and state.
    • The event takes place at the Sheraton Downtown Phoenix, located at 340 N. 3rd Street, Phoenix, AZ 85004.
    • The 2025 event is scheduled for Saturday, September 6, 2025, marking the 34th anniversary of this special celebration.
    • The evening includes a formal awards dinner celebrating Latino leaders, networking opportunities with community leaders and advocates, and recognition of honorees who have made significant contributions to Arizona's Latino community.
